NEW SCC Coach Paul Baker

After 6 years  Dan Schuppan will step down as Club Coach. Dan has committed to still play senior cricket next year with Spotswood. In those 6 years we had 3 grand final appearances, winning one, one loss and a draw during Covid Lockdowns, which, we were in a good position to win.

Dan has changed our culture and really appreciate his outstanding service to our club.

We are very pleased to announce that Paul Baker has been appointed Non Playing Coach over the next two years.

Paul brings a wealth of experience and Coaching capability to dedicate time to bring our skills to another level.

Stephen Jamieson Scoreboard

Congratulations to Stephen Jamieson after the scoreboard being named in his honour

On Friday afternoon at our Presidents luncheon, Michele Langlands, Sports club Chairperson, announced the naming of our scoreboard the Stephen Jamieson scoreboard. This naming was the endorsement of both the cricket and football club for his enormous contribution.

For cricket Jamo has been the first X1 scorer for 35 years, a junior player, junior coach, Treasurer of the club. It is with his history we endorsed the naming.

Well done Jamo, a well deserved honour

Jarrod Martignago re-signs for 2024/25

Spotswood Cricket Club are rapped to announce the resigning of Jarrod Martignago for the 2024-25 season. Jarrod had an outstanding season last year with 785 runs in North West comp and also another 166 runs in the T20 format, 951 runs in one season, outstanding.
Jarrod was also named as Opening bat in the VSDCA team of the year.
Not bad considering it is selected from 32 senior team in VSDCA.
